Slight Dehydration....

Hello! Im super tired and we got here really late, so I don't know how long this is going to be. We traveled to this place called capilla del monte for p-day, we played soccer and went hiking a little it was super fun. We also grilled up some meat and had a little BBQ...it was super fun! I did not drink enough water though so Im not feeling too good right now.

Well the week was alright, wednesday we had our district meeting in la falda like always, and the family home evening that night with claudio and fátima. We had another super spiritual lesson with them, they always are but the girl just needs to decide to marry him so that they can keep the commandments. We really have no idea what's stopping her from doing it, after so many spiritual experiences. After thinking about it I decided that all she really needs to know, is whether or not the Book of Mormon is true. Like they say, its the keystone of our religion. If its false, the church is false and she doesn´t need to worry about it. But if its true, the church is true and all the teachings and commandments are true, so she needs to start keeping them now, whether that means getting married or moving out is her choice. So we left her with the homework of reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. We saw them both in church on sunday so thats a good sign!

Thursday was a good day too, we had another meeting with kenti before the english class. Apparently she didn't understand that she should go to church every week, thats why she didn't come this week. So we taught her the "day of rest" doctrine, reading from the classic 10 commandments with moses. People here in this country really like moses because there was a show on tv about him, all dramatized with romance and stuff but because of that show people really respect moses so I try to reference him when I can. She was a little sick, and I guess she got a lot worse because she didn't show up on sunday and the baptism had to be cancelled again. That was a real disappointment. She said she was too sick to even get out of bed though, so hopefully she is alright and we can see what we can do to help her out.

Friday was a good day, we taught a lot of lessons but I can't really remember anything that sticks out.

On saturday we had a service project in the morning, we were helping some members build a wall to add on to their house. It was pretty fun actually, I like service because its good to do some physical work every now and then to mix it up. It was long, from 9 am to 2 but it was good. They gave us a big empenada
lunch afterwards too. We also went by and gifted a tie to one of our investigators, the really old guy named oscar. He liked it a lot, we have a really funny video ill see if I can attach it.

Sunday was good, we had 2 investigators at church, just the one disappointing thing is that we had to go around telling all the members that there was no baptism. It makes us sound like the boy who cried wolf because we keep saying every week that there is going to be one on sunday but then there's not. We will keep working with her though.....it will happen.

A scripture that made a good impact on me this week was John chapter 11...its about Jesus raising lazurus from the dead. The part that impacted me the most was Jesus crying with lazuruz´s sisters after he dies. It is really amazing to know that Jesus really knows how we feel...when we are sad, he is sad with us. He loves us so much and all he wants is to help us..we just have to have the faith to let him. We all get sad sometimes...I do too, all I know is that even when everything is bad the best thing to do is to do our best to live the gospel. Nothing bad can come from being good, and I know God notices and blesses us.

Love ya all. Hope you guys had a good week and that you are all happy.

Love, Elder Christensen
