Today is my 90th pday in Argentina, what a milestone. The big news this week is that I got transferred after only 6 weeks in San Francisco :( I couldn't believe it, I loved san fran I was super happy there and expecting to finish my mission there! I loved the members and I was just starting to become really good friends with them, and I was also living with some of my best friends in the mission. This is the sad part about the mission, but the saddest part is that I will be saying goodbye to it all in 6 weeks... I can´t believe it. I had a talk on sunday, my first and last talk in san francisco, and included was my "testimonio fiel" which is that every missionary who leaves an area has to give his testimony in church the last sunday. But it was really hard to say goodbye to san francisco, even though I was only there for 6 weeks, because the whole time I was talking I just kept thinking about how Im going to have to say goodbye to Argentina soon, and I dont want to. Lately I've had a lot of people telling me that they can tell I love the mission, and its true I really do and Im going to be pretty sad when its over. I just want to enjoy it as much as I can for the next couple weeks and work hard so I dont have any regrets!
Its been crazy this weekend, just visiting tons of people to say goodbye, as always I had to end up leaving my packing for the last minute cause I wanted to spend as much time as possible visiting people and hanging out with the missionarys I lived with there. Im really going to miss elder Mooneyham, Fausett, and Baute! And of course everyone in the zone! So yeah I finished packing at 3 am this morning, got up at 5 to take the bus, and when I got to my area I fell asleep for about 5 hours.
My new companion is named elder Ericsen, he is my "stepson" because he already had his dad (elder Taylor) but he finished the mission today! So I need to finish his training, I am actually pretty excited for it! He is from Utah, we also live with another elder from Utah and one from Brazil, sao paulo. Im the district leader here, there are 6 of us in the district, 2 sisters, we are excited to meet them on thursday. I think its gonna be a good transfer!
I dont have a lot of time to write, Ill send a lot of pictures though and Ill send some scriptures to study. Promise Ill have a better email next week!
These scriptures I shared in my talk on sunday, they talk about a definition of eternal life (knowing God), and how to get to know God (knowing Jesus), how to get to know Jesus (service), and how we can serve (in the vineyard, missionary work, to fellow man).
The scriptures are John 17:3, John 12:6-7, Mosiah 5:13, and Jacob 5:70-75. Read them in that order and think about them, I learned a lot from these scriptures, they came to me in that order while I was praying, so I just wanted to share it with you guys!
Love you guys, talk to you next week!
